About Hunter: Hunter Facilities
Hunter’s solid commitment to putting the customer first throughout the entire organization has helped the company achieve solid and impressive growth around the world since 1981. Today, Hunter produces a full range of water-efficient products for residential and commercial use, including its legendary pop-up gear-driven rotors, spray sprinklers, controllers, valves, weather sensors, and central control systems. With headquarters in San Marcos, California, Hunter operates manufacturing facilities in California, North Carolina, and Mexico, along with a network of international offices in Australia, England, France, Jordan, China, and Spain. Hunter Industries employs more than 1,100 people worldwide. The Hunter-Cary plant was opened in 1992. The North Carolina site was selected because of its central location to Hunter’s expanding East Coast market and the positive national image of the area. The facility features state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities and automated, high-speed equipment that helps the plant achieve high production goals while ensuring quality. In May 2004, Hunter opened a new state-of-the-art plant in Tijuana, Mexico, to expand the company’s manufacturing facilities in The Americas. The plant builds plastic valves and other high-volume products. Irrigation professionals from around the world can often be seen touring the Hunter plants for previews of new products and educational updates on irrigation practices. As the equipment becomes more sophisticated, technical training has become increasingly important. That is why Hunter is devoting more time and resources to educating installation and distribution personnel on the advanced features of our products. |
