Hunter Industries Supplements Strong National Sales Team for FX Luminaire With Six Additional Members
San Marcos, Calif. –– June 23, 2009
On February 2, 2009, Hunter Industries announced its acquisition of FX Luminaire, makers of high quality, low voltage exterior lighting components. For 18 years, FX has utilized a dynamic, driven sales force, taking a fledgling company built by founder Josh Beadle and bringing it to the forefront of a competitive market.

In continuing with Hunter’s three decades of premiere customer service and knowledgeable staff, newly appointed Sales and Marketing Manager of FX Luminaire, Kevin Gordon, recruited a strong group of experienced industry professionals to join the team. |

Covering Texas and Oklahoma will be John George. A former Hunter Sales Manager from the Lone Star state, John most recently worked for Cimarron Marketing Associates, the Vista representatives in Texas. He is a licensed Texas Irrigator and very well reputed lighting expert statewide and nationally.

Anthony (Tony) Italia is covering the Mid-Atlantic States. Most recently, Tony spent 3 1/2 years at Vista Lighting, after serving for 4 years as Branch Manager in Delaware for John Deere Landscapes and manning his own lighting contracting business. Tony has a BS in Horticultural Management from the University of Delaware and a Masters Degree in Landscape Design from North Carolina State University.

Kris Klein will be responsible for FX Luminaire product sales in Arizona, New Mexico, Southern Nevada, and Southern Utah territories. In his previous position, Kris was a Sales Account Manager for Horizon Distributors Inc. He has been in the irrigation and green industry for eighteen years. Kris has his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and also holds his CCL in Computer Aided Design and Drafting CADD level I.

New York-born Tom Marmelstein will be covering the New England region. He has been with Hunter since 1998, having previously worked for both the Scotts Company and Buckner Irrigation, in both the Golf and Residential/Commercial irrigation sides of the market.

David Oborn will be covering the Los Angeles and Orange County regions. Originally hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, where he was trained as a machinist. David came to the United States in 1990. At this time, he shifted to a career in Landscape Construction, and, in the past 10 years, has moved from construction to Landscape Lighting Sales.

Florida sales for FX will be managed by Chris Split. Having worked in the green industry on and off since 1994, he has been with Hunter for 2 years as a Sales Manager in Florida. Prior to Hunter, Chris worked for an irrigation distributor as well as Rain Bird. He earned a BA from the University of Central Florida in Organizational Communication.
