ACC: Hunter’s Most Powerful and Advanced Controller EverThe ACC is Hunter’s most powerful and advanced irrigation system controller ever produced, providing new levels of convenience and versatility along with real-time flow monitoring technology for the ultimate in control. Featuring a modular and versatile design, the ACC enables users to customize their controller right in the field with the specific features and scale they require. The ACC’s adaptable design, for example, allows expansion from the base 12-station unit all the way up to 42 stations in six-station increments. The Hunter ACC can be easily upgraded via plug-in modules, enabling true two-way communication with a Hunter central control system via hardwire, radio, or telephone. “What truly sets the ACC apart are its many features,” said Dave Shoup, Hunter’s Water Management Control Products Manager. “The most notable of these numerous features is real-time flow monitoring, which allows the controller to dynamically respond to flow changes by station and track system water use.” Real time flow monitoring identifes a system’s low flow or overflow conditions before resulting damage (to either the system or surrounding landscape) can occur. The controller can automatically test and learn each individual station’s normal flow, and set high and low flow alarm limits for each of them. The controller compares monitored flow totals with the expected totals, and identifies any flow below or above these editable limits as an incorrect flow condition. When the limits are exceeded, the ACC identifies and shuts off the malfunctioning valve, or closes a master valve. “With the ACC, Hunter brings this feature once considered elite to even small projects with limited budgets,” added Shoup.
