IMMS Software Update

IMMS Update Instructions

The following updates, or patches, will update Hunter IMMS software. There is no charge for these updates. Versions older than 2.4.0 cannot be patch updated...contact Hunter Technical Services for an updated installation CD.

These updates require you to have the original IMMS installation CD in your CD drive, so locate it first!


IMMS2 Update

This is the most up-to-date version of IMMS 2 Central Control software.

This patch will update any model of IMMS 2, including basic IMMS2, IMMS with IMMS-ET, and the IMMS2 Demo. It will not require a new Unlock code for licensed copies of IMMS.

This patch will NOT update older versions of IMMS2, including the 2.2.1.1 release. Contact Hunter Technical Support for help updating older versions.

  1. Back up your database!
  2. Close IMMS on your computer, if it is running.
  3. Download the patch.
  4. Unpack or extract the Zip file. You may need to be logged in as Administrator to complete these steps!
  5. Double-click the Patch-IMMS2.4.0.3.exe file. This will launch the installation wizard to complete the update. Click Finish when the update is complete.
  6. Start IMMS2 again and verify that it is the new version.

IMMS 1 Update

Some customers may need to remain with IMMS 1 for compatibility reasons. This was the last update in the original IMMS 1 series.

  1. Close IMMS on your computer (click the "x" in the upper right corner).
  2. Remove the hardware key or "dongle" for IMMS 1 from the computer.
  3. Download the appropriate update by clicking the link, and save somewhere on your computer (My Documents or the desktop will work) and note its location.

You will need your original IMMS installation CD in the drive to complete the next step.

  1. Locate the update file you have just downloaded and double-click the file.
  2. An installation program will appear to prompt you through the rest of the steps... usually just click "Next" until the installation finishes, and then click Finish.

Restart the computer if prompted to do so.

Replace the hardware key, and start IMMS. It will now be the updated version.
