IMMS Software Patch

IMMS Update Instructions

The following updates, or patches, will update Hunter IMMS software versions 1.3.0 and later. There is no charge for these updates. Versions older than 1.3.0 cannot be patch updated... contact Hunter Technical Services for an updated installation CD.

These updates require you to have the original IMMS installation CD in your CD drive, so locate it first!

• Download patch 1.3.xx to 1.3.20
• Download patch 1.4.xx to 1.4.7 (patch is for IMMS 1.4.xx and later. IMMS 1.3.x users require a new CD to update to version 1.4)

If you are attempting to update an older version of IMMS than 1.3.0, these updates will not work, and you will need to obtain a new CD from your Hunter salesperson or Hunter Technical Services.

1. Close IMMS on your computer (click the "x" in the upper right corner).
2. Remove the hardware key or "dongle" for IMMS 1 from the computer.
3. Download the appropriate update by clicking the link, and save somewhere on your computer (My Documents or the desktop will work) and note its location.

You will need your original IMMS installation CD in the drive to complete the next step.

1. Locate the update file you have just downloaded and double-click the file.
2. An installation program will appear to prompt you through the rest of the steps... usually just click "Next" until the installation finishes, and then click Finish.

If you receive a message that the feature is trying to use a "network resource that is unavailable":

1. Click the "Browse" button. A browser window will appear.
2. Choose your CD drive, locate the file "IMMSInstall.msi" on the CD, and click it.
3. Click the "Open" button.
4. Proceed with the update.

Restart the computer if prompted to do so.

Replace the hardware key, and start IMMS. It will now be the updated version.
