FAQ: Replacing the Front Panel of Pro-C or ICC

Q: How do I replace the front panel on my Pro-C or ICC controller?

A: The Pro-C and ICC controller are truly modular in design. This means that any component of the controller can be removed and replaced if needed.

Pro-C

  1. To remove the front panel on a Pro-C, start by removing all power from the controller by unplugging the transformer or shutting off the circuit breaker.
  2. Open the control panel like a second door so you can see the battery compartment on the back.
  3. Locate the gray ribbon cable in the upper right corner of the back of the control panel. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the back of the control panel by disconnecting the plastic cable connector from the back of the panel.
  4. Locate the Hinge Release switch below the ribbon cable connector on the back of the control panel. Push down on the switch. The hinge pins will retract and allow the panel to come free of the cabinet.
  5. A panel can be replaced by following these steps in reverse order.

ICC

  1. To remove the front panel on a ICC, start by removing all power form the controller by unplugging the transformer or shutting off the circuit breaker.
  2. Open the control panel like a second door so you can see the battery compartment on the back.
  3. Locate the gray ribbon cable in the upper right corner of the back of the control panel.
  4. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the back of the control panel by disconnecting the plastic cable connector from the back of the panel.
  5. Bend the top hinge tab on the cabinet far enough to allow the hinge pin on the control panel to come free. With the top hinge pin free, the bottom hinge pin should lift out of it’s socket.
  6. A panel can be replaced by following these steps in reverse order.
