Add Freeze-Clik® to Rain Sensor to Comply with New Dallas Law
By installing a Hunter Mini-Clik® or Rain-Clik™, you can satisfy the rain sensor requirement in the new legislation. Then, by attaching a Hunter Freeze-Clik® freeze sensor “in series” to one of the aforementioned rain sensing devices, you can be in full compliance with the new law. And what exactly does “in series” mean? Simply take one wire from the rain sensing device and attach it to one wire from the Freeze-Clik. Take the second wire from each unit and attach one to each of the two “SEN” terminals on the controller (Pro-C, ICC). The easy to use, easy to mount Freeze-Clik prevents systems from activating by automatically stopping the flow of water when the outdoor temperature drops to a near freezing level. When the temperature rises above that set point, the unit resets your system to its regular cycle. Working in conjunction with other weather sensing devices, the Freeze-Clik helps guarantee the optimum effectiveness of an irrigation system in virtually all types of weather. In Dallas, as well as other freezing climates, we encourage you to visit your local authorized Hunter distributor to add a Freeze-Clik to your customers’ irrigation systems today. |
