Many Model Choices Make PGV the Easy Choice to be Your Valve No Matter What the LandscapeSomething for everyone. That’s the thinking behind the Hunter PGV family of valves. With its wide range of offerings, PGV should provide at least one particular model suited to whatever task you have at hand. The PGV family is a collection of hard working, heavy-duty performers that boasts an array of features rivaling most top-of-the-line valves. The difference is, the PGV comes to you at a middle-of-the-road price. What’s Your Pleasure? For smaller landscape applications, the PGV is available in a pair of 1" models, in either a globe or angle design. In turn, each of those designs is available as either flow control or non-flow control versions. For larger landscape applications, the PGV comes in both 1 1/2" and 2" globe/angle models (with flow control). All models feature durable high-grade PVC construction and a rugged diaphragm with a support to prevent stress failure. In addition, the PGV is pressure rated to withstand up to 150 PSI and will provide the absolute minimum of pressure loss. "We sought out a strong, sturdy valve that wasn’t going to cost us an arm and a leg and we’re happy to have found the PGV," said Billy Walker of South Tulsa Irrigation in Tulsa, Oklahoma. "We install the PGV on virtually all our jobs, both residential and commercial, simply choosing the model that best suits the particular site. The valve is a prime reason we have become advocates of a Complete Hunter System." High Performance for Low PressuresIf you you prefer a valve with and angle design, Hunter has a PGV model created exclusively for your needs. The PGV angle offers all the great features that you’ve come to expect in a Hunter valve, plus a design equipped to handle the special configurations of your installations. The PGV angle offers flow characteristics that provide less friction loss than you’ll find in a globe version valve in a more “traditional” system layout. Thus, the PGV angle can be an ideal choice for irrigation systems that have to operate off of low water pressure. Two New AdditionsHunter recently expanded the PGV valve line, with two more models to choose from: a male x barb model (for markets where polyethylene pipe is desired for lateral lines) and a male x male model (a version with international appeal, it’s ideal for use with new "union style" manifold tees). "We are huge fans of the new male x barb PGV," said Joe Dixon, president of All Around the House, a contracting company in Colorado Springs. "The PGV is the perfect answer for high water pressure and the new model accommodates our use of poly pipe. We are especially fond of the valve’s slow closing feature." Both new models eliminate extra fittings as well as the labor required to install them, and both are available in 1" globe designs, with or without flow control. Plus, like all PGV models, they are constructed of durable high grade materials, featuring a rugged diaphragm with a support to prevent stress failure, and are pressure rated to withstand up to 150 PSI. Small landscape or large one. Needs that call for an angle design or the more traditional globe. A system that uses poly pipe or one that uses manifold tees. Whatever the job calls for, there’s a member of the Hunter PGV family ready to answer the call. See your local authorized Hunter distributor to purchase PGV valves for your next project. |
