Guidelines for Using the Hunter Logo
Following established guidelines is essential for achieving the consistency needed to make a powerful brand statement. Therefore, it is important that you use the Hunter name correctly and consistently on all promotional pieces. Doing so will allow customers to recognize and identify Hunter’s products and services and to distinguish them from competitors.
Using the Hunter Logo
- As a general rule, the Hunter logo should print 100% black, but it can also print 100% color or reverse from a dark background if printing limitations require it.
- The logo must always be reproduced as a graphic file and should never be redrawn, modified or manually typeset.
- Do not stretch, italicize, compress, skew, angle, curve or otherwise distort the logo. Doing so destroys the integrity of the logo and introduces inconsistency in the way the brand is represented.
- Do not use another font for the Hunter logo. The design of the letters is an inherent part of the logo.
- Do not incorporate the logotype into text as a read-through graphic.
- Do not add additional text to the name Hunter when used as a logo. The corporate logo comprises only the word Hunter in stylized type, no other words may be used in this stylized typeface.
- Do not add decorative elements behind or around the logo, even if they are related to the Hunter identity (e.g., do not place artwork of a sprinkler alongside the logo). This weakens the overall impact of the logo and makes it less recognizable.
Tag Line
- “The Irrigation Innovators” is the Hunter corporate tag line. No other wording should be used as a tag line. The tag line should appear beside or under the logo whenever appropriate. The use of the tag line is not mandatory.
- The tag line can appear in either all capital letters (CAPS) or both capital and lower case (Clc). A general rule is to capitalize all letters for clarity if the type is 8 points or smaller; capital and lower case is generally used if the type is larger than 8 points.
- “The Irrigation Innovators” is a trademark that requires the ™ symbol only when the phrase is used by itself. When used in conjunction with the Hunter logo, no symbol is required.
Area of Clear Space
As a general rule, there must be ample clear space between the logo (including the tag line) and other elements such as type, illustrations, photographs, or the edge of a printed item. The area of clear space ensures that other elements in the layout do not compete with the logo.
There should be a minimum amount of clear space on all sides of the logo that is equal to half the height of the capital “H”.
