Leadership
A Family Business with a Family Culture
The Hunter Industries executive team is comprised of seasoned irrigation and business veterans. They are put together to align to help Hunter successfully move forward with an eye on conservation and sustainability.
Greg Hunter
President
Having built his first Rotor at the age of 8, Greg Hunter was destined for a career in irrigation. Since earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from Cornell University, he has played an important role in the development of some of the most significant irrigation innovations of our time. Greg was promoted to President of Hunter Industries in February 2013, and serves on the Board of Directors at the Irrigation Association. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Wendy and their children.
Richard Hunter
Retired
Involved with irrigation since childhood, Richard "Dick" Hunter spent many summers working alongside his father, Ed Hunter, from whom he was taught a deep appreciation for engineering and innovation. A rocket scientist by trade, Dick holds a B.A. in Math and Physics from Whitman College, and an M.S. in Aerospace Science and Engineering from the Columbia University. When he began working for Hunter Industries he spent most of his time overseeing operations companywide. He served as CEO from 1993 until 2013. He is a recipient of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants' Roy Williams Memorial Award and is a past President of the Irrigation Association (1989). Dick enjoys spending time with his wife Jan, his children, and his grandchildren. He is also an avid fan of skiing, a dedicated fly fisherman and bridge player.
Ann Hunter-Welborn
Chairman of the Board
A lifelong philanthropist, Ann began her career as a Special Education teacher. In 1983 the drive to take her passion for helping people brought her to the family business, where she served as Human Resources Manager until 1995 when she left to pursue her non-profit and charity work full time. She rejoined the company in 2009 and served as the VP of Human Resources until April 2012, leading many initiatives designed to make Hunter a place where work and passion are one and the same. Ann is currently the Chair of Hunter Industries Board of Directors, a post she has held since 1994. In her personal time, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
