The easiest of the rotor pressure gauges to use, the Rotor Pitot Gauge (P/N 280100) has a tube that is placed directly in front of the primary nozzle stream for an accurate working pressure reading. This gauge will work on all Hunter rotor sprinklers, as well as almost any other manufacturer's rotors.


The Hunter Adjustable Arc nozzles come from the factory with a preset arc of 25 degrees.

The PS comes from the factory with a preset spray arc of 1º (a very thin stream). The raised dot on top of the nozzle indicates the adjustable (left) edge of the spray pattern.

There are two reasons why there might be a wet spot around your sprinkler:

If you have the most popular PGP model, there is a "blank" nozzle on the gray low-angle nozzle rack.  Or you can simply remove the red nozzle and put some bubble gum in it, then re-install the nozzle.

There are a couple ways to do this, but it's going to depend on which model head you are trying to shut off.

Pop-up sprinklers require water pressure to “pop up", a broken irrigation pipe or a worn sprinkler wiper seal can cause a loss of water pressure.

To determine whether or not your pressure needs to be assessed or replacement parts may be necessary follow these couple steps.

You cannot shutoff the spray on the MP Rotator nozzle using the radius adjustment screw. To shut off spray to one head within a zone you would need to cap off the head at a PVC level or install a Pro Spray Shutoff Cap (if a Pro Spray head is installed). The MP1000, 2000, Strips and Corner models include a standard pre-installed 40 mesh (425 Microns/MPFScreen) filter. The MP3000 comes standard with a 20 mesh (850 microns/MPCScreen) filter. With MP Rotators, 80% of the filter can be plugged without performance drop. MP Rotator filters can be removed for cleaning or replacement.
The MP Rotator has a lower precipitation rate than typical spray heads, so your run times need to be lengthened. Your run times with the MP Rotator may be two to three times longer than a standard spray zone. This is because the MP Rotator puts water down at a slower rate resulting in a significant reduction in runoff, thus saving large amounts of water.
