This video explains how to adjust and maintain Hunter sprays on an irrigation system. A Hunter Technical Support Representative demonstrates flushing a spray sprinkler upon installation, adjusting the arc, adjusting the radius, cleaning the filter and installing a check valve.

Customer Type:

APPLICATION: For use in sprinkler heads where low head drainage is a problem.

  1. Unthread the body cap and remove the internal assembly from the sprinkler body.
  2. Turn the internal assembly upside down to access the opening at the bottom of the riser.
  3. Insert the large, irregular-shaped end of the Drain Check Valve assembly into the bottom of the riser.  The small circular rubber portion of the Drain Check Valve assembly will remain outside of the riser.
  4. Replace the internal assembly and tighten it into the body.
