- Power button
- Number buttons: Used to enter station numbers and other numeric data.
- Back button: Returns to previous menu.
- Plus and Minus (+/–) buttons: Used to change station numbers, and also to turn stations On (+) and Off (–).
- Arrow buttons: Used to navigate within screens, move pointers, or change outputs on multi-station decoders.
- Enter: Used mostly to retry certain functions.
- Question/Info: Used to switch pages in some screens. Also used to enter ICD-HP flash mode.
- Next button: Used to select a menu item and go to the next level. Also used to execute certain commands.
