These tables are designed for quick reference and are set up to provide maximum wire runs, given the information at the bottom of the table. Maximum one-way distance in feet between controller and valve heavy-duty solenoid: 24 VAC, 350 mA inrush current, 190 mA holding current, 60 Hz; 370 mA inrush current, 210 mA holding current, 50 Hz. The tables represent a single active solenoid. The wire distances should be halved with two solenoids operating simultaneously on the same wires.

Hunter controller's contain multiple sized transformers, therefore each controller has different activation capabilities. Here is a list of recommended applications when using multiple Hunter solenoids.

Note: The max stations you see below for each controller model are only if you have this number of HUNTER solenoids wired to a single screw terminal.  This cant be done through basic programming in the controller.

The most common reason for a valve to remain on, or weep, is debris. New installations without proper flushing, recent mainline repair, or well water can cause debris to flow into the valve and get caught between the diaphragm and the seat.

Aligning the Right Fixed Side of Arc

The right side of the arc can be realigned to avoid wet walkways or a dry turf area. One way to realign the right stop is to turn the whole sprinkler body assembly and the fitting below. This may require temporary removal of the surrounding soil.

Another way to reset the right side of the arc is to unscrew the body cap and remove the internal assembly from the body.

Arc Adjustment

Adjustable heads are preset to approximately 180 degrees. The PGP-ADJ is adjustable from 40-360 degrees. The PGP Ultra is adjustable from 50-360 degrees. Sprinklers may be adjusted with water on or off. It is recommended that initial adjustments be made before installation. Note: Reference illustration above for arc adjustment socket location.

Yes, if you know the model of the existing manufacturer's sprinkler, you can use our Replacement Charts to find the appropriate Hunter pop-up or rotor that will have a similar flow and distance range. Hunter has rotors and sprinklers to fit all applications.

Production of the G-Type rotor was discontinued 14 years ago, though many are still in use today. If a G-Type rotor needs to be replaced, the PGP-ADJ or PGP-Ultra is the current equivalent replacement.
