Controller not appearing in app scan list or loses connection




  • Move closer than 32' (10 m) of controller or replace the batteries. (2 AA alkaline batteries)
  • Verify battery strength.
  • Cycle controller by pulling the batteries.
  • Reboot smartphone. Reconnect to controller.
  • Reset phone network settings. Reconnect to controller.
  • Uninstall and reinstall Hunter BTT app. Reconnect to controller.
  • Accept permissions: "Location Tracking" or manually enable permissions in smartphone settings. Reconnect to controller.
  • Connect to controller via the Hunter BTT app, not smartphone Bluetooth settings page.
  • Verify phone and app compatibility in smartphone settings or update to latest software version:
    • iOS version 9.0 or above
    • Android version 4.4 or above
Controller manual push button not responding


Replace the batteries. (2 AA alkaline batteries)

App indicates watering, but none is occurring


Turn on water supply. Repeat manual watering within the app or on controller.

Automatic irrigation does not start at start time


Verify controller is programmed for automatic watering; correct Start Times, Run Time and Watering Days.

Controller waters more than one time


Eliminate device start times as needed. Correct the Run Time in Timer mode or Run Time and Soak Time in Cycling mode.

Incorrect Passcode


Remove and replace batteries. Go back to the app and connect.
