MP Rotator Nozzles are installed on traditional pop-up sprinklers and stationary shrub adapters. All models are female-threaded for installation on the more common male-threaded spray sprinkler riser, including the Hunter Pro-Spray® . Male-threaded MP Rotator Nozzles are available in select models.
A smart upgrade from spray nozzles, multi-stream, multi-trajectory MP Rotator Nozzles offers a low, matched precipitation rate, high uniformity, and strong wind resistance for maximum efficiency.
When replacing spray nozzles with MP Rotator Nozzles, you'll need to increase your run time based on the applied water rate. Even with double the run time, you'll still save up to 30% more water than spray nozzles due to increased efficiencies with the MP Rotator.
- Pull up the sprinkler riser and hold it in a raised position. Remove the flush plug on new sprinklers or the current spray nozzle for existing systems by unthreading counterclockwise. Be sure to also remove the nozzle screen as most are not attached to the spray nozzle.
- Install the MP Rotator Nozzle by turning it clockwise on the riser until hand tight. Point the Left Edge Indicator to the left side of the desired watering pattern. After removing the spray nozzle, ensure no debris gets in the sprinkler. If debris enters inside, flush the line without the nozzle attached.
MP Rotator Nozzles should be designed and installed with head-to-head spacing. If your nozzles don't cover the desired distance, move up to the next radius option if flow is available.
IMPORTANT: Do not mix spray nozzles with MP Rotator Nozzles in the same zone. The MP Rotator has a much lower application rate to avoid runoff, and the spray nozzle will severely overwater on the same zone.
