The ICD-HP programmer operates with 4 x AA batteries. The batteries supplied are not rechargeable!
To Install the Batteries
Remove cables and connectors from end of ICD-HP. Pry the yellow flexible yellow boot off the ICD-HP. Turn the ICD-HP over, and remove the 2 screws securing the battery compartment cover with a small screwdriver (either standard or Philips). Insert 4 fresh AA batteries as shown, observing polarity. Replace cover with screws and secure. Replace yellow boot.
