Solution 1 – Restart Bluetooth Radio Steps:
- Close all apps on your smartphone device.
- Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your smartphone device.
- Wait 2 minutes.
- Turn on the Bluetooth radio on your smartphone device (after 2 minutes of rest).
- Open the Hunter app on your smartphone device.
- Be in range and scan for your controller.
- Press the Connect button.
Solution 2 – Full Reset Steps:
- Delete the existing Hunter app on your smartphone device.
- Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your smartphone device.
- Restart your smartphone.
- Download the Hunter app for your Hunter Bluetooth controller.
- Turn on the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios on your smartphone device.
- Enable Location Services permissions in your smartphone’s location settings. (This is a requirement for all BLE devices)
- Open the Hunter app on your smartphone device.
- Be in range and scan for your controller.
- Press the Connect button.
Additional Solutions:
- Move closer than 50' (15 m) of controller or replace the batteries. (2 AA alkaline batteries)
- Verify battery strength and cycle controller by pulling the batteries.
- Accept permissions: "Location Tracking" or manually enable permissions in smartphone settings. Reconnect to controller.
- Verify phone and app compatibility in smartphone settings or update to latest software version:
- iOS version 9.0 or above
- Android version 5.0 or above
