ACC2 - Setting Program Start Times

ACC2

A basic program requires a START TIME, station Run Time, and Water Days to operate automatically. This is where basic automatic irrigation is set up. There are 32 possible automatic irrigation programs with each operating up to 10 Start Times.

Customer Type:

Step 1

Select the lower right soft key to view the MAIN MENU.

Step 2

Press the scroll wheel to select. Turn the scroll wheel to the right to view the START TIMES menu. Press the scroll wheel to select.

Step 3

Turn the scroll wheel to the right to highlight the program NAME. Press the scroll wheel to select. A name can be entered here to label the program. This is optional.

Step 4

Turn the scroll wheel to the right to highlight the MODE. Press the scroll wheel to select. Select a mode.

  • AUTO: Must be set to Auto to run automatically.
  • MANUAL: Does not water automatically, but stores station run times for manual irrigation only. 
  • START TO END: This allows you to run the program automatically from a selectable start time to a selectable end time. The number of cycles will appear to the right next to Estimated Cycles.

Step 5

Turn the scroll wheel to the right to select STACK or OVERLAP. Stack means the program must run by itself. Overlap means it is allowed to run at the same time as other programs. Press the scroll wheel to select.

Step 6

Turn the scroll wheel to the right to select a START TIME. Press the scroll wheel to select. Enter a START TIME. Push the HOME button when completed.

Program Intelligent Current Sensing

The ACC2 controller has no artificial programming limits preventing overlapping programs and stations. The controller senses how much electrical current is being drawn, and will suspend stations automatically if the combined current threatens the transformer.

It is also possible to set controller and station limits (Stations, Station Limits) to control how many outputs may operate at once.

A conventionally wired controller may run as many as 14 Hunter solenoids (including any P/MV outputs) simultaneously before suspending additional stations. Environmental factors or higher-draw solenoids may cause the overcurrent protection to activate at lower station counts.
